Saralikitaaq - a Community Social Pediatric Center

Saralikitaaq is a community social pediatric centre housed at Miyoskamin, providing care for families living at Miyoskamin and the broader urban Indigenous community.

At Saralikitaaq, we apply Dr. Julien's integrated social medicine approach, which focuses on the needs and rights of children in vulnerable situations by building a protective circle through the strengths of the child, their family, and community. This community social pediatrics model emphasizes empowerment, fostering collaboration between the child, family, and local resources such as neighbors, volunteers, schools, and institutions.
